Headline math for a listed line: unit_cost × 50% × annual_volume. Example: a Canadian-origin whisky you cost at $22, 8,000 units a year, HTS 2208.30.60 on the alcohol annex → $88,000 extra Section 338. Ordinary HTSUS on that line is Free, so the extra is the story — until something else stacks (301, AD/CVD, 232). We do not compute the full landed-cost stack.
A catalog total that includes keyword-only rows would overstate risk. TariffScope rolls listed rows into the headline and keeps probable out. That is why cheddar without 0406.xx.xx can look scary and still be $0 listed extra.
Canada inbound from the US: ordinary T2026 UST/MFN can show now. The extra retaliatory percentage is pending the published HS list. We will not guess it. What is on the US list.
